Whistle in the Middle of the Forest
Psalm 18:6
“In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears.”
A group of children was out camping. Along the way, Mika stopped for a moment to tie his shoelaces. When he stood up, his group had already walked quite a distance ahead. Mika began to panic. Suddenly, he remembered his leader’s instruction: “If you get separated from the group, don’t run. Blow your whistle, and we will come looking for you.” Mika immediately blew his whistle. Before long, the leader arrived and guided him back to the group.
Rehobot Kids, sometimes we also face situations that make us feel afraid, sad, or confused. When that happens, do not rely solely on your own strength. Come to God in prayer and ask for His help. God always cares about every child who comes to Him.
When we pray, God never ignores us. His help might not always come as quickly as we hope, but He is always working in the best way and at the best time. Therefore, we can remain calm and trust that God will guide our every step.
So, Rehobot Kids, don’t panic when facing problems. Stay calm, pray to God, and ask for help from a trusted adult. Trust that God always cares, hears every prayer, and will guide you through every difficulty.
