Today’s Devotion titled:
Building “Faith Muscles”
Romans 12:12
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Hi, Rehobot Kids! What do you usually do to make your body strong and healthy? Of course, by eating nutritious food and exercising regularly, right? Did you know that faith is also like a muscle that needs to be trained every day? One way to strengthen faith is by being persistent in prayer, as taught in Romans 12:12.
Perseverance means continuing to do it faithfully and not easily giving up. Perseverance in prayer means getting used to talking to God every day, for example, when waking up in the morning, before studying, when facing difficulties, and before sleeping. We do not only pray when we need help, but also when we give thanks, praise God, and entrust every step of our lives to Him.
The more diligently we pray, the stronger our faith becomes. Prayer is like charging a battery to keep it full. When we are close to God, our hearts are strengthened to face challenges, not easily discouraged, and increasingly sensitive to His guidance. God greatly values prayers offered with a sincere and loving heart toward Him.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, make prayer a daily habit. Consider prayer as the breath of our spiritual life, a place where we speak, give thanks, and surrender our lives to God. By continuing to live in prayer, our faith will grow stronger and we will develop into faithful children walking with God.
