God is my Savior
Psalm 145:19
“He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them.”
One day, Mika was riding a bicycle with his friends. Suddenly, the chain of his bicycle came off. Mika tried to fix it, but he didn’t know what to do. He felt sad because he couldn’t continue playing. Mika then prayed, “Lord Jesus, I am in trouble. Help me.” After that, Mika asked for his father’s help. His father came and helped fix his bicycle. Mika felt happy because God helped him through the people God placed around him.
Rehobot Kids, prayer is the way we talk to God. God is pleased when we come to Him and share what we feel, whether we are happy, sad, scared, or in need of help. But praying does not mean we can ask for anything and then God must follow all our desires. God is a loving Father and He knows what is best for us. Sometimes God answers our prayers in ways that align with our expectations, but sometimes in different ways because His plans are better.
Therefore, we pray not only to ask for something, but to draw closer to God and learn to trust Him. Like Mika who came to God in times of trouble, we can also talk to God every day.
Let’s make prayer a daily habit. When we wake up, before studying, before eating, or before sleeping, we can express gratitude and talk to God. Because God always listens to and loves His children.
