Today’s Devotion titled:
Starting the Day with God
Psalm 5:3
“In the morning, Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.”
Every morning, before leaving for school, Tina always prepares her bag. She checks whether her books, pencils, and lunchbox are complete. After everything was ready, Tina felt more at ease because nothing was left behind. One day, Mother said, “Besides packing your bag, don’t forget to prepare your heart by praying to God.”
Since that moment, before starting her activities, Tina always takes time to pray. She gives thanks to God, asks for wisdom to learn, and prays for God’s presence in all her endeavors. After praying, Tina feels more at peace and ready to face the day that God has given her.
Rehobot Kids, Psalm 5:3 teaches that morning is a good time to come to the Lord. Before studying, playing, or engaging in other activities, we can entrust all our plans to Him. When we start the day with the Lord, we learn to trust that He is the one guiding our every step.
Therefore, let’s make it a habit to start each day with prayer. When we entrust our day to God, He will grant us wisdom, accompany every activity we undertake, and help us do our best. Starting the day with God will make our hearts more peaceful, full of joy, and ready to live the day with Him.
