Teach Me Your Paths
Psalm 25:4–5
“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
Hello, Rehobot Kids! In today’s verses, David asks God to guide him along the right path. The word guide means to lead and walk alongside someone. God guides us every day through the people around us, such as our parents, teachers, and youth leaders at church. When we find lessons difficult, our teachers help us. When we feel sad or lonely, God can use our friends or leaders to encourage us. Even when we are learning new things, like cooking or doing our work, God helps us through our loving parents.
Rehobot Kids, God’s guidance is always near us. But here is the question: are we willing to be attentive and obedient to follow His leading? As children of God, we must not be lazy to walk in the path He shows us. Obedience is proof that we love God and trust that His way is the very best for our lives.
Therefore, let us learn to faithfully follow God’s guidance every day. We can do this by praying regularly, reading the Bible, studying diligently at school, and obeying our parents. When we walk under God’s guidance, we are never alone, for He is always with us, watching over us, and directing our steps along His path of truth.
