The Coming of Blessings
Deuteronomy 28:2
“All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:”
When the teacher gives an assignment, some children start working on it right away, while others put it off because they feel there is still plenty of time. Putting things off once may not cause problems immediately. But if it becomes a habit, tasks will pile up and become harder and harder to finish. This is why good habits need to be practiced from childhood.
It is the same in our spiritual life. God teaches us to be obedient every day. God’s blessings do not come just because we obey once or twice, but because we have a heart that continually learns to listen to and do His will. Obedience practiced consistently builds good character and draws us closer to God.
Rehobot Kids, every time we choose to speak the truth, respect our parents, do our work responsibly, and do what is right, we are training ourselves to live in obedience to God. Do not look down on the small things God teaches us. Let us keep learning to obey in every situation, for God is pleased to see children who are willing to listen and do His will each day.
