Understanding
Psalm 119:34
“Give me understanding, so that I may keep Your law and obey it with all my heart.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever read the Bible and found verses that are hard to understand? Or perhaps you already know what is right, but still find it difficult to put into practice? Do not worry. God wants us to come to Him and ask for help so that we may understand His word more fully.
The psalmist prayed that God would grant him understanding. He knew that with God’s help, he could grasp the meaning of God’s word and follow it with all his heart. God also wants to help us tell right from wrong, so that we can make choices that align with His will.
Rehobot Kids, before reading the Bible or when facing difficult decisions, let us pray to God. Ask Him to open our understanding and give us a heart willing to obey. When God helps us understand His word, it becomes easier to do what is right and live in a way that pleases Him more and more.
