Disciples of Jesus Christ
John 13:35
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever heard someone say, “Wow, you look so much like your mom or dad!” Perhaps the way we speak, laugh, or our habits seem similar to our parents. Others can recognize us as our parents’ children because there’s a resemblance in our attitudes and behaviors.
Well, as disciples of Jesus Christ, our lives should also show a “likeness” to Jesus Christ. Others can see that we are His disciples through the way we live every day. When we are polite, willing to forgive, eager to help, and love our friends, others can see Jesus Christ’s love through our lives.
Love is the fruit that is most clearly seen in the lives of God’s children. Love makes us a light to those around us. When we love one another, we are showing that we truly know and follow Jesus Christ.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to live like Jesus Christ every day. Let our words and actions allow others to see God’s love and know that we are His disciples!
