Today’s Devotional Title:
Shining Because We Trust God
Psalm 37:5–6
“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.”
It was 8:00 in the morning, and Rafa and his classmates were about to take a math test. Rafa looked at the test paper in front of him with worry. The night before, he had not studied much because he was tired after basketball practice. As he read the questions, he became afraid that he might get a bad grade.
Suddenly, the student next to him whispered, “Rafa, do you want to see my answers?” Rafa felt torn. He wanted a good score, but he knew that cheating was wrong.
In his heart, Rafa prayed a short prayer: “Lord, help me choose what is right.” Then he gently shook his head and completed the test on his own. His score was not perfect, but Rafa felt peaceful because he had been honest. Later, his teacher praised him for choosing to do the right thing even when it was difficult.
Rehobot Kids, sometimes we are afraid of failing or disappointing others. But God teaches us to commit our lives and our choices to Him. When we trust God and choose what is right, He will help us and stay with us.
Psalm 37:5–6 tells us that God will make righteousness shine like the light. This means that when we live honestly and trust Him, our lives can shine brightly for others to see. People can see that we love God through the choices we make each day.
So, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to trust God and keep doing what is right. As we put our lives in His hands, He will help us shine and produce good fruit that brings glory to His name!
