Today’s Devotional Title:
Fruit That Brings Peace

Isaiah 32:17
“The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.”

During recess, Rara and her friends were playing in the schoolyard. Suddenly, a ball hit a flower pot and shattered it. All the children were shocked. No teacher had seen what happened.

“Let’s just say we don’t know anything about it,” one of her friends whispered.

Rara felt uncomfortable. She knew who had accidentally kicked the ball. If she told the truth, her friend might get scolded. But if she stayed silent, her heart would not be at peace.

After thinking for a moment, Rara bravely went to her teacher and explained what had really happened. To her surprise, the teacher was not angry. Instead, the teacher praised their honesty and invited them to clean up the broken pot together. When Rara went home that day, she felt relieved because she had chosen to do what was right.

Rehobot Kids, doing the right thing is not always easy. Sometimes we are tempted to lie, hide our mistakes, or blame others. However, God’s Word teaches us that righteousness produces peace. When we choose to live honestly and obey God, our hearts become calm because we are walking according to His will.

Just as a tree produces good fruit, a life that stays close to God will also produce the fruit of righteousness. This fruit is seen in the small decisions we make every day—telling the truth, taking responsibility, and having the courage to do what is right even when it is difficult. The fruit of righteousness brings peace, not only to ourselves but also to those around us.

Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to live in righteousness every day. When we choose to do what is right, God will fill our hearts with peace, and our lives will produce fruit that pleases Him.
