Today’s Devotional Title:
A Strong Fortress
Psalm 62:6
“Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.”
During recess, Kevin and his friends were playing by building a fortress with toy blocks. They stacked them high and neatly until it looked very strong. Kevin said, “If we had a fortress like this, we would be super safe!” But not long after, the fortress fell down because it wasn’t balanced. Everyone laughed, but Kevin felt disappointed. “It looked strong… but it fell so easily,” he said.
At home, Kevin told his father about it. His father smiled and said, “There is a fortress that is truly strong and will never fall.” Kevin became curious. Then his father read a Bible verse saying that God is our rock and our fortress.
His father explained that man-made fortresses can fall, but God never fails to protect us. He is strong, firm, and always faithful to take care of us in every situation. Kevin felt calm. He knew that God is a protection that will never collapse, even when he feels afraid or faces difficulties.
Rehobot Kids, God is the strongest place of protection. When we feel weak, afraid, or worried, we can come to Him. With God, we will not be shaken.
So let’s trust that God is our strong fortress, who always takes care of us every day.
