Not Afraid
Isaiah 12:2
“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord Himself, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever been scared to go to the dentist? Especially when a tooth has to be pulled out—it feels really scary, right? It might hurt a bit, feel uncomfortable, and make you nervous. But after it’s all done and a new tooth grows, you feel relieved and can eat comfortably again.
It’s the same in life. There are things that make us afraid—like facing something new, getting our report card, or going through situations we don’t like. Feeling afraid is normal. But God doesn’t want us to live in fear. He wants us to trust that He is our strength and our salvation.
When we are with God, we don’t have to be afraid. Even when things feel hard, God is right beside us, giving us strength and courage. Just like after a toothache we become stronger, the hard things we go through can help us grow in God.
Rehobot Kids, it may not always be easy to trust when things feel uncomfortable. But that’s exactly when we learn to rely on God. He is our safe place—where we find peace, comfort, and strength.
