Walking with God
Deuteronomy 31:8
“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Today, Naya was going to perform a poem at school. She had practiced many times, but when the day finally came, her stomach felt uneasy and her hands started to shake. “What if I make a mistake? What if people laugh at me?” she thought nervously.
While waiting for her turn, Naya almost gave up. But then she remembered God’s Word—that God goes before us and never leaves us. So she prayed quietly, “God, I’m scared, but I believe You are with me.”
When her name was called, Naya walked forward with a pounding heart. But she felt courage rising inside her. She began reading her poem—slowly at first, then more smoothly until she finished. Her friends clapped, and Naya smiled with relief.
Rehobot Kids, God always goes before us. When we feel afraid or worried, we are not alone. God is with us, guiding us and giving us courage.
So let’s learn to trust Him every day. With God, we can move forward bravely and not be afraid.
