Today’s Devotional:
Strong Because of God
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.”
During PE class, Celine and her friends were asked to run two laps around the field. Everyone looked excited—except Celine. She felt like she ran slowly, got tired easily, and was afraid she wouldn’t be able to finish. When the whistle blew, everyone started running. After just a few steps, Celine was already out of breath. “I can’t do this…” she thought. She almost stopped.
But then, Celine remembered a Bible verse she had learned in Sunday School—that God gives us strength. She paused for a moment, took a deep breath, and prayed in her heart, “God, help me. Give me strength.” Slowly, Celine started running again. Even though she wasn’t as fast as her friends, she kept going. One lap done… then the second lap. Finally, Celine reached the finish line!
Her teacher smiled and said, “Good job, Celine! You didn’t give up!” Celine smiled widely. She knew it wasn’t because of her own strength, but because God helped her.
Rehobot Kids, God gives us strength when we feel weak. He helps us keep trying, not give up, and finish what we start.
So let’s trust God every day. With Him, we can be strong and do things that feel hard.
