Becoming a Wise Child
Psalm 1:1–2
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever felt confused about choosing what is right and what is wrong? For example, when a friend invites you to cheat or be dishonest. Sometimes it is not easy, right?
God’s Word teaches us that a wise child is someone who does not simply follow others into doing wrong, but chooses to live according to God’s Word. We learn to stay away from what is bad and to love hearing and obeying God’s Word.
Wisdom comes when we stay close to God. When we faithfully read the Bible, listen to God’s Word, and remember it every day, we learn more clearly what is right.
So, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to choose what is right every day. By staying close to God’s Word, we can become wise children who please God.
