Today’s devotional is titled:
God’s Word Guides Me
Psalm 119:10
“I seek You with all my heart; do not let me stray from Your commands.”
Nita is a fifth-grade student who faithfully attends Sunday School. She enjoys going to church because she can meet her friends and listen to Bible stories from the Sunday School teachers. Every week Nita also memorizes Bible verses, and those verses help guide her in her daily life at home and at school.
One day Nita felt sad because her good friend, Lia, was sick and could not come to school. Nita remembered what she had learned in Sunday School—that God’s children should place their hope in the Lord. So she prayed sincerely, asking God to touch and heal Lia. As she read God’s Word and prayed, Nita’s heart became calm and filled with hope.
Soon after that, Nita faced another difficulty. Her father lost his job. Even though she felt sad, Nita did not stop praying and trusting that God would help her family. God’s Word helped her remain strong and not lose her faith.
Rehobot Kids, God’s Word is the guide for our lives. When we faithfully read the Bible and pray, God strengthens our hearts and helps us face every challenge. So let’s not only read God’s Word, but also live it out in our lives every day.
