Today’s devotional is titled:
The Right Heart
Romans 10:10
“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
One day, Ando and Nando were chatting happily in the school cafeteria. They were discussing something quite serious. “When God calls us, will we go to heaven?” asked Nando curiously. Ando then recounted that his Sunday School teacher had taught him that in order to go to heaven, we must believe in the Lord Jesus with a sincere heart.
Ando explained that believing in the Lord Jesus is not just about knowing or following others. Believing means accepting the Lord Jesus into our hearts and confessing with our mouths that Jesus is our Lord and Savior. The Bible says that if we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths, we will be saved. Wow, that’s wonderful news, Rehobot Kids!
Therefore, God wants us to have a sincere heart every day. A heart that is willing to believe, obey, and always ask for God’s guidance in our lives. We learn to pray, ask for God’s help, and live in a way that pleases Him. We don’t know when God will call us, but we can always be ready by living close to God.
Rehobot Kids, if you long to receive the Lord Jesus in your heart and believe that He is the only Savior, you can pray earnestly. You can also ask your Sunday School teacher or your parents at home to pray for you. Let’s continue to learn to have a righteous heart and live close to God, so that one day we will be ready to meet Him and live with God in a beautiful heaven.
