A Peaceful Heart Is Healthy
Proverbs 14:30
“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever felt jealous when a friend gets better grades, has a new toy, or receives praise from the teacher? It doesn’t feel good, right? Your heart feels hot, and your mind keeps comparing yourself to others.
Today’s Bible verse says that a peaceful heart brings refreshment to the body. That means when our hearts are calm and not filled with jealousy, our lives feel lighter and happier. We can smile sincerely and enjoy what we already have.
On the other hand, jealousy is like a small poison inside the heart. If we keep it there, it makes it hard for us to be thankful and joyful. We become easily annoyed, angry, and even unhappy when we see others being blessed.
If jealousy starts to appear, don’t keep it. Come to God and pray, “Lord, teach me to be thankful and to be happy when others are blessed.” God will help us have a peaceful heart.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, choose a heart that is calm and full of gratitude. A peaceful heart not only pleases God, but also makes our lives healthy and happy.
