Peace That Calms the Heart
John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever felt scared or worried? Maybe before a test, when you get scolded by your parents, or when the atmosphere at home doesn’t feel comfortable. It can feel like being in the middle of a storm—strong winds, loud thunder, and your heart just wants to find a safe place.
Jesus understands those feelings. That’s why He gives us His peace. The peace Jesus gives is different from the peace the world gives. The world says peace means no problems at all, but Jesus gives us peace that stays with us even when problems are still there.
God’s peace is like a strong anchor in our hearts. Even when everything around us feels messy or scary, our hearts can stay calm because we know God is always with us and taking care of us.
When you start to feel worried, stop for a moment and pray. Say, “Lord Jesus, I want to receive Your peace.” His peace will calm your heart and give you courage.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to trust God every day. With the peace from Jesus, our hearts can stay calm, strong, and become a blessing to people around us.
