Today’s Devotional Title:
Courage Comes from God
2 Timothy 4:17
“But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed… And I was delivered from the lion’s mouth.”
This weekend, Rania will take part in a piano competition at a school performance event. For the past two months, she has been practicing diligently with her piano teacher. Every day after school, Rania sets aside time to practice the songs she will play. She wants to give her very best.
But when the day of the competition arrives, Rania feels very nervous. Her hands feel cold, and her heart beats fast. Her mom gently asks, “What’s wrong, dear?” Rania answers softly, “I’m scared, Mom. This is my first piano competition.” Her mom smiles and says, “You’re not alone. God is right beside you, and He is the One who gives you courage.”
Her mom’s words help Rania feel calmer. She remembers that God is always with her. By praying and trusting God, Rania steps onto the stage and plays the piano with courage.
Rehobot Kids, all of us have felt afraid like Rania—afraid to try something new, afraid of failing, or afraid to stand in front of many people. But God’s Word reminds us that God is always with us and strengthens us. When we feel weak, God is the source of our courage.
So when you feel scared or unsure, remember this: God is right by your side. Pray, trust Him, and take a brave step forward. With God, you can overcome every challenge!
