Not Alone
Psalm 55:22
“Cast your cares on the LORD and He will sustain you;
He will never let the righteous be shaken.”
“Uh oh, I have sooo much homework today…”
“I feel sad because my friend keeps bothering me when I’m playing…”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever felt worried, upset, or sad like that? Sometimes it feels heavy when we have to think about everything by ourselves. But God tells us in His Word that we don’t have to carry all those worries alone.
Psalm 55:22 reminds us to give all our worries to God. That means when our hearts feel heavy, we can come to God and tell Him everything. God wants to take care of us, help us, and make us strong so our hearts don’t feel shaky.
For example, when homework feels like too much and makes us scared, we can pray, “God, please help me focus and stay calm.” Then we can start doing our work little by little while trusting God to help us. Or when we feel sad because a friend is angry or doesn’t want to play, we can pray, “God, please help me be patient and make peace.” God will help us by giving us a calmer heart and a kind attitude.
Giving our worries to God is like giving a heavy bag to someone who is strong. Our hearts feel lighter, calmer, and braver to face the day.
Come on, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to trust God every day. We are not alone. God is always with us, caring for us and loving us so much.
