Following Jesus’ Love
John 13:15
“I have set you an example so that you should do as I have done for you.”
Today was a school holiday. Dad and Mom took Armand on a picnic to the city forest park. Since early morning, Armand had been super excited preparing the picnic food—from rice and side dishes to light snacks. This time, they went by busway, which made Armand even more excited.
When they arrived at the bus stop and started walking toward the park, a small child with a tired face came up to them, offering to sell tissues. Since Mom had forgotten to bring tissues, she bought some. Armand looked closely at the child’s face, and his heart was moved with compassion.
On his own, Armand opened his bag and shared some of the food and snacks he had brought. The little child accepted them with teary eyes and said that he hadn’t eaten since morning because he hadn’t sold any tissues yet.
Rehobot Kids, Armand’s story teaches us to follow the love of Jesus. When we choose to share sincerely and without expecting anything in return, we are doing what Jesus taught us. Small actions done with love can bring joy, hope, and light to others. Let’s learn to live like Jesus—loving others through real actions every day.
