The Cake That Answered a Prayer
Proverbs 22:9
“A generous person will be blessed, because they share their food with the poor.”
One day, a child stood in front of a cake shop window. He looked at the beautiful and delicious birthday cakes. He really wanted to buy one, but he could only look from afar because he didn’t have enough money.
The cake shop owner noticed the child and kindly asked, “Do you want to buy a cake?”
The child answered softly, “I want to buy a birthday cake for my mom, but I don’t have enough money.”
The shop owner smiled warmly and said, “That’s okay. Today you can choose any cake you want for your mom. Take it home. Don’t worry about the money.”
With a heart full of joy, the child brought the cake home. He was able to celebrate his mother’s birthday while she was sick. His prayer to God was finally answered through the kindness of the cake shop owner.
Rehobot Kids, from this story we learn that a small act of kindness can become an answer to someone else’s prayer. When we choose to share with a kind heart, God can use us to bring joy and hope to others.
So let’s learn to be kind-hearted kids who love to share. We may not always realize it, but through our kindness, God might be answering someone’s prayer.
