Today’s devotional title:
You Don’t Have to Be Rich to Give

2 Corinthians 8:12
“If the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.”

Andi was thinking really hard. “What can I give to Budi, whose house caught on fire?” Andi felt confused because he was still a child. He didn’t have his own money, and of course he couldn’t build a new house for Budi. In his heart, Andi thought, “If only I were rich, then I could help more.”

But then Andi realized something. He actually could still give. He could give clothes that were still in good condition, lend Budi his school books so he could keep studying, and most importantly, pray for Budi and his family so God would give them strength and comfort.

Rehobot Kids, we don’t have to wait until we’re rich or have lots of money to help others. God doesn’t look at how big our gift is—He looks at our willing and sincere hearts.

Today’s Bible verse teaches us that a gift given from what we have right now, when given willingly, is very precious to God. Small things we give can become big blessings for others.

So let’s start learning to give from today. Whatever we have—our time, attention, simple things, or prayers—when we give them sincerely, God will surely use them to bring goodness and joy to many people.
