Encouraging One Another
1 Thessalonians 5:11
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are doing.”
Rehobot Kids, have you ever seen a friend who looks sad, gloomy, or sits alone because no one asks them to play? Sometimes our friends don’t look as cheerful as usual. That’s often when they really need attention and encouragement from others.
In the Bible, there is a story about Hannah. Hannah was very sad because she did not have a child yet. She cried and prayed sincerely to God. Then Eli the priest came and spoke words of comfort and hope to her. Hannah believed that God had heard her prayer, and her heart became calm.
From this story, we learn that giving doesn’t always mean giving things or gifts. We can give encouragement to a sad friend, comfort a friend who is disappointed about a bad grade, calm a friend who is angry, or give a smile and a hug to tired parents.
Rehobot Kids, attention and kind words are very precious gifts. Let’s learn to encourage one another, give support, and bring comfort to others. When we do that, we are building each other up and making God happy.
