Today’s devotional title:
Loving Each Other by Helping One Another
Romans 12:13
“Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”
Near Cora’s house, there was a small playground. Sadly, the swing was broken and the fence looked old and worn out. Cora really wanted the playground to be a fun place to play again. So she invited her friends to help fix the swing together.
Cora remembered that everyone can help in different ways, using what they have. She asked her friends to work together with love. Andi brought a hammer, Boni brought pliers, and Erik brought some sweet iced tea. They worked together happily. When Cora, Andi, and Boni felt thirsty, Erik quickly shared the iced tea he made. Everyone helped in their own way.
In the end, the work was done. The swing was fixed and ready to be used again. They all cheered, “Hooray!” The playground was once again filled with laughter and joy.
God’s Word in Romans 12:13 teaches us to care for and help one another. We don’t need lots of money or big things to help others. With love, attention, and what we already have, we can be a blessing.
So, Rehobot Kids, let’s learn to help and support each other. When we choose to work together with love, God can use our lives to bring joy to many people.
