Today’s devotion title:
God’s Rainbow Promise
Genesis 9:13
“I have placed My rainbow in the clouds. It will be a sign of my promise between Me and the earth.”
Hi, Rehobot Kids! Have you ever seen a rainbow after it rains? It’s so beautiful—red, yellow, green, blue—like a painting in the sky. A rainbow isn’t just pretty, it also has a really important meaning. In Genesis 9:13, God says He put the rainbow there as a sign of His promise to people. What promise? The promise that He would never destroy the earth with a huge flood again. So every time a rainbow shows up, it’s like God is saying, “I’m still faithful. I always keep My promises.”
The rainbow’s colors remind us that God never changes. Even when we misbehave, feel sad, get scared, or make mistakes, God still loves us. His love and faithfulness are always there—just like a rainbow that comes out after the rain.
Rehobot Kids, whenever you see a rainbow, pause for a moment and remember this: God is faithful and He’s taking care of us. We can be thankful because we have a God whose promises never fail. He is always there, always cares, and always guides our steps.
So starting today, let’s learn to trust God’s promises. If you ever feel afraid or worried, remember God’s “rainbow”—His beautiful promises that are sure and true. With God, we are never alone.
