Sleeping Peacefully
Psalm 4:9
“I will lie down and sleep in peace, because You alone, Lord, make me live safely.”
“I’m not afraid in the dark night…
I’m not afraid to be alone, because I know God is with me.
My Father’s angels are watching over me…”
Rehobot Kids, what you just read is part of a song. That song reminds us that God is always with us. Even though we can’t see angels with our eyes, we know God sends them to protect us. Even when the night feels really dark, God never leaves us alone.
We should also be thankful that we can sleep well every night. Did you know not everyone can fall asleep easily? Some people close their eyes but still can’t sleep.
That’s why when we’re able to sleep peacefully, we should say thank You. God is the One who gives us safety, calmness, and protection with every breath we take.
Rehobot Kids, remember that God is always taking care of you. When night comes, pray and give your heart to God. He will help you sleep safely and peacefully.
