Today’s devotion title:
Forgiven and Thankful

1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from everything wrong.”

Rehobot Kids, have you ever felt really guilty after doing something wrong? It feels awful, right? Sometimes we even think, “God must be mad… maybe He won’t forgive me anymore.” But here’s the good news—God’s Word says something totally different!

Today’s verse says that if we admit our sins, God is faithful and fair to forgive us. To confess means we’re being honest, humble, and brave enough to say, “God, I did wrong.” When we come to God with a sincere heart, He always opens His arms wide and welcomes us back.

God’s forgiveness is free, unlimited, and it never expires. Every time we mess up and then come back to Him, He cleans us up and throws our sins far away. That’s why we should be thankful—because God is so patient and full of love.

And because God has forgiven us so much, He also wants us to learn to forgive others. Forgiving doesn’t mean pretending nothing happened. It means letting go of anger and revenge in our hearts. When we forgive, our hearts feel more peaceful, and we’re copying God’s love.

Rehobot Kids, remember this: whenever you feel like you’ve failed or you’re not good enough, come to God. He’s always ready to forgive you, fix your heart, and make you strong again. Let’s live today with thankful hearts because His love has set us free!
