Today’s devotion title:
My Parents Are My Heroes

Ephesians 6:1
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is the right thing to do.”

Rehobot Kids, imagine you join a soccer or basketball club. The coach often says things like, “Go faster!” or “Stay focused!” Even though it can feel tiring, the coach says that so you can grow and get better. Well, parents are like that too. They are “life coaches” God has specially given to you.

Sometimes they tell you to study before playing games, or they ask you to clean your room when you just want to relax. It can feel annoying, but they do it because they love you and want your future to be good.

God uses parents to protect you, guide you, and help you grow into someone strong and wise. They want you to build good habits and have the right kind of heart.

So when your parents advise you or remind you, try to pause for a moment and learn to be thankful. Be thankful that God gave you parents who care—who watch over you, remind you, and protect you every day. They’re not your enemies. They’re actually the best team you have.

When you learn to obey and thank God for your parents, you’re building a life full of love, humility, and responsibility. That makes God happy, and it helps your heart grow up too.
