Today’s devotional is titled:
Your Lack, His Miracle
“‘He replied, “You give them something to eat.” … Then He said, “Bring them here to Me.” Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke them. Then He gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.’”
Luke 9:13, 16
Guys, imagine this: 5,000 men—not even counting women and children—are hungry. And what’s available? Only five loaves and two fish. Logically? No way that’s enough. Totally impossible. But Jesus didn’t say, “Oh, that’s not enough. Cancel it.” Instead, Jesus said, “Bring them here to Me.” And we know what happened next. What was lacking became more than enough. There were even 12 baskets of leftovers.
Here’s the thing: God doesn’t need us to have everything. God only needs us to bring what we have—no matter how small—into His hands. You feel like your talent isn’t enough? Bring it to God. You feel like your effort isn’t your best? Bring it to God. You feel like you don’t have enough time? Bring it to God. You feel like your faith isn’t strong enough? Bring it to God. Miracles don’t start from enough. Miracles start from surrender.
That little boy who gave the five loaves and two fish didn’t know what he had would become a blessing for thousands of people. He simply gave what he had. And Jesus did the rest. So stop waiting until you feel “enough” or “perfect” before you take a step forward. Start with what you have right now. Let Him multiply it. Lack doesn’t mean failure. Lack is the beginning of a miracle.
What To Do:
1. Write down one small thing you have right now—time, talent, ability, or anything else.
2. Pray and surrender it to God—ask Him to use it and multiply it for His glory.
3. Take one small step today with what you have—don’t wait until it’s perfect.
