Your Gift, His Glory

1 Peter 4:11
” If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”

Hi, Rehobot Youth! Have you ever watched a talent show featuring amazing performances by the contestants? Some sing, play music, dance, act, or showcase other skills that leave the audience in awe. Behind every stunning performance lies a process of practice, discipline, and hard work that often goes unseen. Yet, there is one thing we often forget: every talent we possess is ultimately a gift from God.

Through 1 Peter 4:11, God reminds us that every ability we have must be used with the strength He provides. This means we are not merely called to develop our talents, but also to use them for the right purpose. Talents are not simply tools for pursuing achievement, popularity, or recognition; rather, they are a means to serve others and glorify God. When we realize that God is the source of every ability, we learn to rely on Him throughout every process and achievement.

Rehobot Youth, the world often measures a person’s value by how many people know them or how great their achievements are. God, however, sees things differently. He looks at whether the talents He has entrusted to us are being used faithfully and with the right heart. Whether performing before a crowd or practicing when no one is watching, God values our faithfulness. Talents used with humility will always bring glory to Him and become a blessing to others.

Therefore, Rehobot Youth, do not simply ask, “What talents do I possess?” but also, “How can these talents glorify God?” Earnestly develop every ability God has entrusted to you, then use them to serve, strengthen others, and make God’s name known. Ultimately, the measure of success is not merely how impressively we perform, but how faithfully we steward God’s gifts for His glory.

What To Do?
1. Be grateful for every talent as a gift from God.
2. Develop your talents with discipline and humility.
3. Use your talents to serve and glorify God.
