Today’s devotional is titled:
Works of Loving Hands
Acts 9:36
“In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.”
In the city of Joppa, there lived a woman named Tabitha. She was known not for speaking much in front of people, but for her actions. Tabitha sewed clothes for widows in need. Every stitch she made was an expression of her love. She wasn’t seeking praise, she simply wanted others to feel God’s care through her hands.
Truth Junior friends, Tabitha’s story reminds us that serving God doesn’t always come through big words or long sermons. Sometimes it’s through simple but sincere actions.
Your little hands can also create works of love. Maybe you can make a card for a sick friend, draw something to encourage someone, help your mom prepare a meal, or fix a broken toy for a friend. These acts may seem small, but they can bring great joy to the one who receives them.
What matters is not how impressive your work is, but how much love you put into it. God can use the work of your hands to bless others, just as He used Tabitha’s sewing to comfort many people.
Today, why not ask God, “Lord, what can I do with my hands to bless others?” Then go and do it with joy. Who knows, your small creation might become a big blessing that warms someone’s heart.
