Today’s devotion is titled:
Work with Heart, Not Just Routine

“The righteous are rescued from trouble, and it falls on the wicked instead.”
— Proverbs 28:1b

Have you ever felt like your work is just a tiring routine? Many people see their jobs merely as a way to earn money, meet needs, or complete tasks. But God calls us to see work as more than that—it’s not just about making a living, but about fulfilling a calling.

Let’s learn from Daniel, who stayed faithful while serving in a foreign government. Even under pressure and danger, Daniel never compromised his faith or integrity. He showed that true work isn’t just about results or wealth—it’s about faithfulness to God and living by what’s right.

Daniel, along with Nehemiah, reminds us that calling in work is not defined by position or paycheck, but by a faithful heart. Daniel stood firm in his faith despite threats, while Nehemiah courageously took on the responsibility of rebuilding his nation. They worked with heart, not just with habit.

When we work with a heart called by God, our work becomes a channel of blessing and transformation. In God’s hands, our job is no longer a burden—it’s an opportunity to glorify Him and spread goodness wherever He places us.

What to Do:
1. Starting today, change the way you see your work find a purpose greater than yourself or material goals.
2. Pray that God will open your heart and help you see your work as a beautiful and meaningful calling.
