Today’s devotion is titled:
Work Hard, But Don’t Forget the Purpose

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
— Matthew 6:33

In life, we often work hard to succeed, to have more, or to be recognized by others. Working hard isn’t wrong—but it’s important to pause and ask ourselves: Why am I working so hard? Who am I doing it for? This verse reminds us that the real goal in life is not just success on earth, but seeking God’s Kingdom and living in His righteousness.

If our focus is only on money, status, or praise, we’ll eventually feel tired and lose direction. But when our hearts are set on God, every effort becomes an act of worship. We can enjoy the process, knowing that God gives meaning and purpose to all we do.

God doesn’t oppose hard work—He loves to see us being diligent, disciplined, and passionate. But He also wants us to hold on to His values: honesty, faithfulness, humility, and dependence on Him in everything. Hard work without spiritual purpose will leave us empty, but hard work rooted in faith will bear eternal fruit.

So, don’t just chase results—chase God’s will in every step you take. When your purpose is right, your hard work won’t just lead to success—it will bring blessings to you and to others.

What to Do:
1. Do everything with the goal of glorifying God, not yourself.
2. Don’t let busyness make you forget to pray and be thankful.
3. When you are tired, remember that God is the source of your strength and direction in life.
