Today’s Devotional Title:
Wise Love Choices
Luke 16:10
“Whoever is faithful in small matters will also be faithful in large ones.”
Many young people think that dating must always look fancy—expensive meals, branded gifts, uploading aesthetic moments to look serious. In fact, maturity in a relationship is not about how much money you spend, but how wisely you manage your life. A healthy relationship starts from a heart rooted in God, not from a consumptive lifestyle.
Strong relationships are born from commitment and loyalty, not from material things. True love is built through responsibility, including in financial matters. Managing money wisely is not a trivial matter—it is part of character. Because if you are wasteful now for the sake of prestige, later the relationship can become a burden.
Being faithful in small matters includes how we use money, how we reject unnecessary trends, and how we choose simplicity over showing off. If we can be wise in small things, we are preparing ourselves for greater responsibilities. Mature love does not need to be expensive—what is needed is a faithful, wise heart that is willing to glorify God through every decision.
What to Do?
1. Learn to make a simple budget and be disciplined in managing money, even in small matters.
2. Don’t make dating a competition to prove your wealth—focus on commitment and loyalty.
3. Follow the example of Christian public figures who live simply and make God the center of their relationships, not their lifestyle.
