Wisdom Beyond Intelligence

Proverbs 2:6
“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.”

Hi, Rehobot Youth! We live in an era where information is available everywhere. Thanks to technology, social media, and artificial intelligence (AI), we can find answers in mere seconds. Intelligence (IQ) helps us understand many things, while emotional intelligence (EQ) helps us build healthy relationships. However, does having a lot of knowledge automatically enable us to make the right decisions? Not necessarily. Knowledge provides information, but wisdom determines the direction of our lives.

Proverbs 2:6 reminds us that the source of wisdom is not man, but God Himself. Wisdom is the ability to view everything from God’s perspective and make decisions in accordance with His will. Therefore, a person can possess high IQ and good EQ yet still make the wrong decisions if their life is not guided by God’s wisdom.

Rehobot Youth, wisdom is born from a close relationship with God. The more we know God through prayer, His Word, and obedience, the more the Holy Spirit shapes the way we think and act. Spirituality (SQ) becomes the foundation that guides our IQ and EQ, ensuring that the knowledge and abilities we possess are used for the right purposes and to glorify God.

So, Rehobot Youth, do not merely pursue intelligence or achievements. Cultivate a growing spiritual life, for God’s wisdom far surpasses human intelligence. When God becomes the source of your wisdom, every decision you make will bring peace and growth, and serve as a blessing to many.

What To Do?
1. Make God the source of your wisdom.
2. Learn to view everything from the perspective of God’s Word.
3. Build a consistent spiritual life.
