Why Is Faithfulness More Valuable Than Achievement?

“Well done, good and faithful servant!” – Matthew 25:23a

In this world, achievements are often the main standard of success—high grades, high positions, lots of followers. But in God’s eyes, success is measured by faithfulness, not just accomplishments.

Let’s learn from Daniel. As a young man, he was exiled to a foreign land. He had no platform, no backup, and lived under a system that opposed his faith. Yet Daniel stayed faithful. He refused unclean food, didn’t worship the king, and kept praying even when it was forbidden. What happened? God lifted him up—not because Daniel was “impressive,” but because he was faithful, even under pressure.

Faithfulness rarely goes viral. But it’s in those quiet, consistent acts that God plants something eternal. The world may see you as “ordinary,” but in God’s eyes, you’re building something of eternal worth.

What to Do:
1. Write down one area of your life where you want to grow in faithfulness (e.g., personal devotion, responsibilities, relationships).
2. Start with one small step today, and ask God to strengthen you to stay consistent—even when no one else sees.
