Wholehearted Faith

Genesis 12:1–2
“The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.’”

Raka had just moved to a new house because of his father’s job. In the new city, he didn’t have any friends yet, and school felt unfamiliar. One night, he said, “I’m scared, Lord. I don’t know what to do.” His mother then told him about Abraham, who also left his homeland and went to a strange new place, but was brave because he trusted God’s promise.

“Abraham didn’t know what the new place would be like, but he knew God was faithful,” his mother said. Raka began to understand. If Abraham could believe, he could too. The next day, Raka gathered his courage to greet the classmate sitting next to him. Over time, he made new friends, and his heart felt peaceful because he knew God was guiding his steps.

Truth Junior Friends, sometimes we also face new and frightening things. But if we believe that God leads our path just as He led Abraham, our hearts will stay safe and calm in Him.

If today you feel afraid to face something new, say in your heart: “Lord, I believe You are with me.” Let’s learn to pray, “Lord Jesus, teach me to trust in Your promises even when I don’t yet see the results.”
Let’s put our wholehearted faith in our faithful God!
