Today’s devotion is titled:
When Ambition Meets Calling

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”
— Philippians 2:3

Everyone has ambition—the desire to succeed, to achieve something, and to make life meaningful. But sometimes ambition can make us forget God’s calling. We become so busy chasing personal goals that we miss God’s purpose for our lives.

Ambition itself isn’t wrong—as long as it’s directed the right way. When our ambition meets God’s calling, our hard work gains a deeper purpose. We no longer work just for personal success but to bring impact and blessings to others. That’s where true joy is found—not in how much we achieve, but in doing what pleases God.

God wants us to have a humble and obedient heart. He doesn’t reject ambition, but He wants it to be guided by love and truth. When we let Him lead our steps, our ambition becomes a tool to serve, not to glorify ourselves.

In the end, true success isn’t measured by how high we rise, but by how deeply we obey His calling. When ambition meets God’s will, our lives don’t just become successful—they become meaningful and a blessing to many.

What to Do:
1. Reevaluate the purpose of your ambitions are they for yourself or for God?
2. Learn to balance hard work with humility and prayer.
3. Make every achievement an opportunity to express God’s love and glory.
