Today’s Devotional Title:
Wait for God’s Time

Ecclesiastes 3:1
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Young people often want everything to happen quickly—quick relationships, quick success, quick answers to prayer. They want it now. But God teaches us that life has seasons. If we force fruit to ripen before its time, what we get is not sweetness, but bitterness. Samson is a clear example: he was chosen by God and had great strength, but he was often hasty in matters of the heart.

Samson obeyed his desires rather than God. He was impatient to wait for God’s timing, and his emotional choices ruined his life. Great gifts are not enough if one’s character is not ready. Power without self-control can backfire.

Waiting does not mean being passive or defeated. Waiting is God’s process of shaping our hearts, deepening our faith, and maturing our character. If now is not the time for dating or you haven’t met the right person, it doesn’t mean you are lacking. It could be that God is preparing you first, before preparing someone for you.

Don’t be afraid of the waiting season. Rushing can cause you to fall, but patience prepares us. God’s timing may not always be quick, but it is always right.

What to Do?
1. Don’t make relationship decisions out of panic or pressure.
2. Learn from the story of Samson: great gifts require obedience.
3. Use the waiting period to grow in faith and character.
