Vision, Not Ambition

Today’s devotional is titled:
Vision, Not Ambition

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
(Matthew 6:33)

Vision and ambition may look similar — but they lead in very different directions. Ambition puts me at the center. Vision puts God as the ultimate goal. Many people chase dreams, but their end goal is personal glory, not God’s glory.

As children of God, we’re not just called to succeed — we’re called to bear fruit and make an impact. A vision from God shapes your character, not just your accomplishments. God-given vision leads to humility, not a thirst for validation.

What to Do?
1. Check the motivation behind your dreams: do you want to be known, or do you want God to be known through your life?
2. Take time in quiet prayer and ask God to refine your heart’s motives with His light.
