Today’s Devotional:
Too Much on Your Mind

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – (1 Peter 5:7)

Sometimes we may look fine on the outside, but inside our heads it’s like having a thousand browser tabs open. We worry about the future, fear failure, struggle with relationships, feel insecure about ourselves, and so much more. One word sums it up: overthinking.

Gen Z is known as a smart, creative, and connected generation. But that also means we have an overload of information, pressure, and comparisons. We often spend more time living in our heads than in God’s presence. Overthinking drains us mentally and emotionally, making us feel like we need to anticipate every possible outcome — even ones that may never happen.

God never intended for us to carry all that alone. He invites us to cast every worry on Him — not just the big ones, but even the small things that quietly rob us of peace. He not only knows our hearts but also cares deeply and wants to sustain us.

What to Do?
1. Set time for journaling: write down everything that’s been causing you to overthink. Then, pray and surrender each one to God.
2. Every time your thoughts start looping on the same issue, declare in faith:
“God cares for me. I don’t have to carry this on my own.”
