The Winning Team

1 Samuel 14:6
“Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, ‘Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.’”

Have you ever heard the word comeback? It means rising again after almost losing! Imagine a basketball team that was about to lose, but keeps fighting until they finally win. That’s exciting, right? Life can be like that too. Sometimes we feel like giving up—but if we keep believing and praying, God can help us rise again.

In the Bible, there’s a story just like that. A prince named Jonathan and his armor-bearer bravely faced a huge enemy army. Imagine—only two people against an entire army! But Jonathan was confident and said, “The Lord can help us!” He knew that true victory doesn’t come from numbers, but from God’s presence. And it was true—God helped them, and they won the battle!

Truth Junior Friends, Jonathan’s story teaches us never to give up. Keep believing and fighting, because with God, anything is possible. So, which team do you want to be on? The team that gives up in fear, or the winning team with God?

Remember, Jesus once said that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. So don’t be afraid if you feel alone, and don’t lose hope when things get hard. Keep moving forward with courage! Because in God’s “winning team,” every child who believes and obeys is watched over by Him. When God is on our side—nothing is impossible!
