The Shepherd

Psalm 23:1
“A psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”

A shepherd always loves his sheep and goats. Every day he gives them fresh grass to eat. After that, he leads them to clean water so they can drink. The shepherd doesn’t want his animals to be hungry or thirsty. He cares for them with love.

Truth Kids friends, the Bible says that God is like our Shepherd. Just like a shepherd cares for his sheep, God also takes care of us. He will not let us be in need. God knows what we need, whether food, drink, or other things in our lives.

King David once said, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” That means David trusted that God was always with him. And we too can believe that God is with us. He is always there to walk beside us, anytime and anywhere.

So whenever Truth Kids friends feel afraid, sad, or alone, remember that God is always near. Even though we cannot see Him with our eyes, we can feel His love and help. So don’t worry, we have a Good Shepherd, and that is the Lord Jesus.
