The Power of Prayer
1 Kings 18:37
“Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that You, Lord, are God, and that You are turning their hearts back again.”
Have you ever felt alone because people around you didn’t believe in God? Maybe you wanted to pray before eating at school, but your friends laughed at you. That must have felt uncomfortable, right? But in times like that, God wants us to keep believing—just like Elijah.
Elijah lived in a time when many people refused to believe in God. But he stayed faithful and prayed that the people would know the one true God. God heard Elijah’s prayer and showed His power in an amazing way. Through Elijah’s prayer and faith, many people turned their hearts back to God.
Truth Junior Friends, prayer isn’t just words—it’s how we talk to God and trust Him. When you pray sincerely, God works in wonderful ways, even if you can’t see it right away.
We may not see fire come down from heaven like Elijah did, but every prayer you say has great power. Prayer can calm a sad heart, bring peace to an angry one, and draw us closer to God.
So, let’s learn from Elijah! Keep praying and believing that God always hears you. The power of prayer can change hearts, bring peace, and help us live closer to God.
