The Beauty of Obedience

Genesis 6:22
“Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.”

Imagine if tomorrow God told you to build a huge ship right in your front yard. Your neighbors would probably be confused, maybe even laugh at you! That’s exactly what Noah experienced. Every day he cut wood, set up planks, and hammered patiently. People passing by mocked him, saying, “Haha, what’s that giant boat for? There’s no rain here!” But Noah kept working, because he believed that God never makes mistakes.

Eventually, the rain truly came, and the great flood covered the earth. The ark that Noah built became a safe place for his family and all the animals. That’s when everyone realized that Noah’s obedience saved lives.

Sometimes obeying God makes us different from our friends or the people around us. They might not understand why we choose to do what’s right. But when we stay faithful, God will protect us and use our lives for great things.

Today, let’s do one good thing that God reminds us to do—even if it’s not popular. It could be telling the truth to your teacher, helping a friend in need, or choosing to do good when others don’t. God is pleased with children who obey, just like Noah!
