Today’s reflection is entitled:
Still Valuable
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9
Rehobot Youth, have you ever felt unworthy to come to God because of failures, sins, or mistakes you have made? Feelings of guilt often drive a person away from God. They feel that God must be disappointed, angry, or no longer loves them. As a result, they lose the courage to pray, worship, or build a close relationship with God.
However, God’s words show that God is not someone who distances himself from sinners who come to Him. On the contrary, God is a loving Father, who always opens His hands to forgive and restore. When we honestly admit our mistakes, God does not reject us. He gives forgiveness and a new chance to rise again. His love is greater than our failures.
Rehobot Youth, the value of our lives is not determined by past mistakes, other people’s judgments, or the weaknesses we have. Our worth is determined by God’s love so great that He sacrificed Jesus Christ to redeem us. If God himself deems us so worthy, why do we continue to live in a sense of unworthiness? God’s forgiveness not only erases sin, but also restores our identity as His beloved children.
Therefore, don’t let a feeling of worthlessness make you stay away from God. Come to Him as you are. When we receive forgiveness and restoration from God, we learn to see ourselves from His perspective, not from our failures. God does not call perfect people, but He perfects those who want to come to Him humbly and trust in His love.
What To Do?
• Dare to come to God honestly.
• Reject the voice that says you are worthless.
• Live in God’s forgiveness and restoration.
