Staying Close During Hard Times
Psalm 46:1
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
Hi, Rehobot Youth! Many people think that spiritual life is only needed when at church or when everything is going well. However, it is precisely when life gets tough that our relationship with God is truly tested. When facing failure, loss, pressure, or disappointment, we often ask, “Where is God?” Yet, hardship is not a sign that God has abandoned us. In fact, those are the very moments He invites us to draw closer to Him.
The Psalmist declares that God is a refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. God may not always lift us out of our problems instantly, but He promises to be with us through them. A personal relationship with God provides strength that the world cannot give. When we come to Him, restless hearts find peace, and weak souls are strengthened to keep moving forward.
Rehobot Youth, spirituality is not something rigid or exclusive. Spirituality is walking with God through every season of life, even when things do not go as expected. Closeness to God does not make us immune to problems, but it ensures we do not face them alone. The more we know God, the more we learn to trust His love, wisdom, and presence, even when we do not yet understand everything that is happening.
Therefore, Rehobot Youth, do not let hardship become an excuse to distance yourself from God. Turn every struggle into an opportunity to know Him better. As your relationship with God deepens, you will discover that the greatest strength comes not from yourself, but from the God who faithfully walks with you every step of the way.
What To Do?
1. Come to God when facing difficulties.
2. Keep building a relationship with God.
3. Believe in God’s presence.
