Today’s devotional is titled:
Small Obedience, Big Victory
Judges 7:7
Then the Lord said to Gideon, “By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his place.”
Rehobot Youth, we often think small things don’t matter. “Oh, just helping out a little… just being honest… just rejecting gossip…” It seems so ordinary. But in God’s eyes, small things are incredibly important.
Look at Gideon. Logically, 300 men against thousands of enemies doesn’t make sense. But God deliberately used small things to make it clear: this isn’t about human strength, but God’s power. And the key to it all? Gideon obeyed.
Sometimes we wait for big moments to be “used by God.” But God is watching the small things we do every day. The way we behave, the choices we make when no one is watching, the small, seemingly insignificant decisions—these are all shaping our lives.
You may feel ordinary at school, at home, or in your community. But don’t underestimate yourself. God can use your small acts of obedience to create something big. Because in God’s hands, small things can become extraordinary.
So don’t wait to be great before obeying. In fact, through simple obedience today, God is preparing a great victory ahead.
What To Do?
• Start obeying in small ways every day.
• Don’t measure yourself by your abilities, but by your obedience.
• Do what is right, even if it seems simple.
